Jane Mallet Theatre/ Strange News and a Soldier’s Tale/ Les Dala, conductor / “Strange News” is a compelling multi-media work that features narrator, Arthur Kisenyi, and a virtuoso chamber ensemble under conductor Les Dala. Igor Stravinsky’s masterpiece “A Soldier’s Tale” features Canadian theatre legend Martha Henry as narrator and violinist Jonathan Crow, directed by Peter Moss.

Virtuoso soloists are the hallmark of any great band concert, and this concert had three! Andrew McCandless, Neil Deland, and Gordon Wolfe performed the premier of a new triple concerto by Gary Kulesha, commissioned by the HSSB. Principals on Display was the Grand Finale to the annual Festival of Brass Weekend.
